A little bit more about our head honcho.
Rob Jones started life as a radio DJ with Radio City in Liverpool, quickly moving to Radio Luxembourg where he became Director of Programmes, RTL English Language Radio & TV. He also spent a couple of years in front of the ITV cameras at Granada.
After RTL he became part of the original management team at Sky (Director of Music Programmes) and after two successful years was head hunted by the Virgin/Granada/Yorkshire TV venture, Music Box, as Director of Programmes.
He was later seconded by Virgin to manage Richard Branson's radio and TV interests.
When the time came to set up his own company, Yorkshire TV were the first client, quickly followed by Jazz FM, GWR Radio and Trinity plc. Many years later, USP Content is a successful content production company with a range of blue chip clients including the BBC, ITV, Absolute Radio and Procter & Gamble.
Rob Jones is CEO and majority shareholder of USP Content.
